Tiger Daze is a web design service for small businesses run by Richard Lawton. I have worked in IT for over 30 years, for much of that time acting as a freelance IT consultant. I was an early adopter of the web and designed my first website in 1996. My extensive experience includes developing software and databases for major organisations such as IBM, Virgin Media, Harrods, the Department of Trade & Industry, the Ministry of Defence and Cap Gemini.
In recent years I have re-trained as a body psychotherapist and combine this career with small-scale IT and web projects as a way of expressing my creative and artistic side. My therapy training provides valuable insight into the psychology of web design and understanding how a successful site works.
As a self-employed person I know all about the problems facing small businesses and the self-employed - that of having to be jack-of-all-trades. Owner, worker, director of finance, head of marketing & PR, supremo and dogsbody... It can be a struggle sometimes. I have often seen small businesses paying ridiculous sums of money for their web services: high monthly charges, excessive fees for making small alterations, hidden costs... I have also seen small businesses trying to use CMS packages such as Wordpress and really struggling to customize their site, often with very poor results.
It doesn't have to be that way. For their web requirements a small business needs an excellent and professional service at reasonable prices - with no hassle, no hidden costs and no future surpises. This is exactly what Tiger Daze offers.
